About
What is CME?
The Department of Ceramic & Metallurgical Engineering (CME) at RUET started as the Department of Glass & Ceramic Engineering (GCE) on 23rd April 2010. Renamed to CME on 5th May 2025, effective from the 2024–25 session onward. The department offers a 4-year B.Sc. Engineering degree focused on the structure, processing, and application of metallic and ceramic materials — bridging two core engineering disciplines.
